Obituary of Frederick Thompson

Frederick John Thompson FSA FCIA Age 75, of Toronto, formerly of Stratford passed away suddenly in Florida on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Born in St. Marys, son of the late John and Anne (Faulhaufer) Thompson. Loving father of Fred (Agnes) and Krista (Nigel). Grandfather of Jennifer, Riley, Paris and J.J. Best friend and partner of Judy. Dear brother of Rheo (Sally); and survived by nieces, Marni (Alvin) and Heather. Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by a brother, Harold. Fred had his own actuarial business in Toronto; he enjoyed travelling to his homes in France, Florida and Singhampton, Ontario. For all of Fred's life he was a devoted Montreal Canadian Fan. He was also affectionately known to his high school friends as 'Bumfuzz'. Fred lived life to the fullest and was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of Fred's life will take place at Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
