Obituary of Olga Howes
OLGA HOWES
There is much sorrow in the hearts of Olga's many friends and relatives. She passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the age of 89, in Scarborough General Hospital with her devoted sister Martha, and her nephew David by her side. Olga was an exceptionally beautiful person, both inside and out who found peace tending to her garden, as well as her needlework and cooking. She also enjoyed helping her loving husband, John while he worked on his model boats and planes. He predeceased her in 2009. Olga was born in Port Colborne, August 27, 1926, educated in Belleville, and received her 25-year retirement recognition at Olivetti Underwood in 1976. She will be missed by her sister Alice, nieces Betty Anne, Sharyl and Maureen, grand-nieces Andrea and Robyn and nephews Douglas, Lorne and family, as well as her "special" Miszczuk, Rindfleisch and Marshall families, Special thanks to Eva and the staff at Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf, CCAC, and the doctors and nurses at Scarborough General Hospital who provided TLC for Olga. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Sunday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will take place at a later date. Please feel free to donate to the charity of your choice. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
