Obituary of Mary Buie Templin

Templin, Mary Buie February 11, 1931 - February 18, 2016 After a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease, Mary passed peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on February 18, 2016. She is survived by her brother John Mahon, sister Bridget Mahon, son Peter, daughter Victoria, grand-daughter Zoe and partner Jim Head. She was predeceased by her sister Sheila Brown and her parents Mary and John Mahon. Mary will be remembered for her intelligence and passion for democracy, politics and human rights. She spent her career teaching with the Toronto District School Board and on the provincial collective bargaining team of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation. Mary's family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook Hospital for their care and compassion. A service will be held at HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Thursday, February 25th at 11 o'clock. Reception to follow in the Rosedale Room.
