I have known Russ for over 30 years. Whether it was working with him at Cadillac Fairview or going crazy with him at Payless shoes or when he went out on his own, Russ was a class act and a wonderful kid and generous soul as well as a first class real estate professional. I will miss him as will all of his friends and colleagues in the industry. My heart and condolences go out to his family.

Judy, you have been in our thoughts since we read about Russ' passing on Sat in the G&M. I'm sure Mary has told you that I left a message with her to let you know that we're returning home tomorrow and not able to attend the memorial service happening right now. We're both so sad to read this news because we have thought of you both so often and haven't connected. With our shared birthdays and experiences over the years, we have always felt a close connection with you and Russell. My husband Bill and daughter Mel and I are so very, very sorry about Russ's passing. I will always remember him for his kind interest in all things Mel when we first adopted her and through all the years since. Our hearts are sore for Judy and can only offer our support where words fail.
