Obituary of Stella Dufty

Stella Maria Dufty (nee Tolan) October 10, 1936 - January 15, 2016 Stella died surrounded by her family at her home in Toronto. Born in England to Thomas and Rose Tolan, Stella was an extraordinary woman - daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Loving mother of Kate, Elizabeth (David), and the late Mark. Devoted grandmother of Ryan, Taylor and Evan. Kind and giving sister to Bernadette and Anthony (the late Di). Loving Auntie to Timothy, Andrea and Hillary. Treasured friend to so many. Stella's humour was ever present even in the darkest of times. Her love knew no bounds and the depth of her faith was immeasurable. We were blessed by her presence and inspired by her example. Stella is loved and we will carry the light of her remarkable spirit with us for the rest of our days. "Well done my true and faithful servant." A Requiem Mass of Christian Burial will be held in ST. ANSELM CHURCH (Millwood Road at McNaughton) on Tuesday, January 19 at 10:30 a.m. Stella will be interred in the family grave in England at a later date, reuniting her with her parents and her son.
