Jacqui and I were very saddened to learn of Lucy's passing last week. However, we did not see the notice until after the reception on Friday; otherwise, I would have come to it. I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Lucy's passing. She was a wonderful classmate and friend of mine, and we enjoyed 4 years in the same class together at Northern Secondary. I remember Lucy as a very determined young lady, scholastically, musically, playing the flute in the band, in sports and gymnastics class and as a beautiful cheerleader. Lucy could do it all, and she was the prom queen! Lucy was fun and classy, yet very demure, she took after her mother Eva. Despite Lucy's many attributes it didn't go to her head in a boastful way. She was clever, funny, high spirited and just one of the girls. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends and anyone who had the pleasure to know her. My heartfelt condolences go to her family and friends.

I knew Lucy, Dennis, and their family originally as patients at my Yonge Eglinton office, where they were a very pleasant family with which to be associated. I was fortunate to get to know both Lucy and Dennis on a more personal level and have very fond and lasting memories of them both, but, of especially Lucy, who always seemed to be a bright shining star, there to offer understanding and hope to anyone that may have crossed her life. The loss of her from our world shocked me.
