Kim R. Hunter a licensed funeral director since 1976, is an active member of the Royal Canadian Military Institute, The Thunderers of Toronto and Rotary Club of Toronto.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the Order of the Golden Rule. He is also a former member of the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation Board, Bayview Community Hospice and the St. George's Society. 


After many years of service at Humphrey Funeral Home, Kim became President and Owner in November 2018 and will continue to serve the funeral service profession and is committed to upholding strong ties within the Toronto community.

Bruce has been with Humphrey-Miles-Newbigging since 1962 and has been a licensed director since 1971. He was President and Fourth Generation Owner from 1990 to 2018. Always wanting to be in the forefront of funeral service, Bruce has been responsible for creating the Bereavement Services & Community Education department of Humphrey-Miles-Newbigging in early 1980’s.


Community involvement has always been important to Bruce; he has been active in many organizations and has served in several roles including: President of the Leaside Lions Club (1979) followed by District Chair, Division Chairman for the Hospital for Sick Children Capital Campaign (1987), Member of the Board of Governors of Centennial College (1997-2000), Past Board Member of the Touchstone Youth Centre (1990-1997), Charter Committee Member for the United Way of Greater Toronto, as well as many others. Bruce is also a lifetime member of the United Church of Canada.

His corporate experience encompasses the positions of President of the Ontario Funeral Service Association (2004), President of the International Order of the Golden Rule (1998), Board Member and former Executive Committee Member on the Board of Funeral Services of Ontario (1998-2004), Resource Board Member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes (1987) and Past Secretary/Treasurer of the Metro Toronto Funeral Directors Association (1976-1977).

Bruce has three adult children: Adam, Jacquelyn and Courtney.

Charles has been in the funeral profession since 1980, and joined Humphrey-Miles-Newbigging in 1995.

An active member and former Director of the Kiwanis Club of Toronto, Charles also served on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club, and was Chairman of the English Speaking Union (Toronto/Hamilton Branch). Charles was appointed an Honorary Director of the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club in June 2013. Charles also participates in the Canadian Royal Heritage Trust.

Charles is an active member of The National Club, Black Tie International, and Timothy Eaton Memorial Church.  In December 2013, Charles was named and appointed as a Life Trustee of Timothy Eaton Memorial Church.

Joseph has been a licensed Funeral Director since 1988. He joined the Humphrey team back in 2011 and recently returned this year in 2021. Joseph was born and raised in St. Thomas, Ontario. He is a father of two children and in his spare time he enjoys golfing and watching all types of sports games.

Wayne graduated from Humber College with honours in 1969.  He was the manager of Murray E. Newbigging Funeral Home for 42 years; joining the Humphrey-Miles-Newbigging family with the merge of the two firms in 2014.  Wayne was active as a clown for many years.  He has also been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Toronto since 1975.

Bruce has been a licensed funeral director since 1967.  He has the experience of running his own funeral home in Toronto and served on the board of management of Toronto & District Funeral Directors Inc.  He is married to Sharon, they have two children and four grandchildren. They enjoying cruising around the world & playing cards.

Paul has been a licensed funeral director since his graduation from Humber College in 1988.  Prior to joining the Humphrey- Miles family he was the Owner and President of the Newbigging Funeral Home. As a resident of Leaside since 1969, he has been extensively involved in the community, including Treasurer of the South Eglinton Residents and Ratepayers Associated (SERRA), a sitting member of the Toronto Police Services Community Liaison 53 Division and is a long time member of Northlea United Church.  Paul is also a Director and Past Chair of the Christian Children's Fund of Canada and a member of Childfund Alliance.  Paul currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Alliance and travels extensively in Central and South America, Asia, New Zealand and Europe, overseeing the work of the Alliance in 54 countries, effecting the daily health and welfare of 650,000 of the worlds most vulnerable children.
