Don was the manager at CCTF div of Emco and in 1977 convinced me to move to Calgary from Toronto as a sales representative. I am still with the same company and think of Don frequently as the person who really got my career started. He was truly one of the most respected people I have ever worked for. He as extremely proud of his children. I have lots and lots of great memories. Thanks Don!

Beginning in 1954, Don was the construction captain of our family cottage on Mountain Lake in Haliburton Highlands. He was a very fine golfer and was a regular at Beaverbrook Golf Course in Minden Ontario.
He began those summer mornings with a brisk dip in the lake, followed by teeoff at around 8am. He allowed his teenage brother inlaw to take a few hits during a lull in the action on the back nine. After golf a trip to the local bakery for some freshly cooked loaves and then back to the cottage where Yvonne and the girls awaited for some sandwiches served on the dock under sunny skies. Those were the days which I will never forget.
