So very sorry to hear of Rob's passing. I cherish very happy memories of meeting Rob and Paul in Prague and being lucky enough to hang out with both of them in Toronto from time to time. Rob was kind, compassionate, scary smart, and very, very funny: a very gentle man. My deepest sympathies to Paul and everyone who knew Rob; he'll be missed.

I was deeply saddened by Rob's passing. I was lucky enough to meet Rob while going through treatment myself. Rob was a kind, gentle, caring and thoughtful soul who will be missed. My heartfelt condolenses go out to Paul and the families. Rest in peace Rob.

On behalf of my fellow Board members at SEDI, we are all deeply saddened by the loss of a wonderful friend and colleague. Rob was always an exceptionally generous, committed and hardworking Board member but, as his health declined, his passion for SEDI and his tireless efforts on behalf of the organization only seemed to grow. We will all miss his intellect and wisdom guiding us on difficult issues, but his grace, dignity and gentle good humour will be missed even more. Dear Paul: we are deeply sorry about Rob's passing and thinking of you. Lori and I are both heartbroken. It was almost exactly 17 years ago where a deep friendship started when the four of us just hit it off at a business function. You both made our lives so much richer through so many wonderful experiences since then and I assure you that these will be treasured. A true gentleman was lost. Rob was one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever known. I often looked to Rob for career guidance and he was almost always willing to make time for a lunch when he could. I cannot properly express how much Rob meant to me and I will truly miss him.
