Well Mother Bear--- I miss you already and all the funny things you used to do and say. I will miss my overnights with you on Wednesdays and our weekly shopping trips all around and I mean all around town!!! Followed of course by a glass of wine.
Thanks too for the chance to take you to "3" Power Squadron Conferences" We had so much fun and meet some really great people.
Remember how it was raining so hard when we reached Halifax, the train was late, the taxi was slow so we only had an hour to dress up for dinner and we managed to pull it off. Looking quite lovely I believe.
You always said that when you passed away that you wanted to be sent off with your favourite "Tilley Hat" so that Dad would recognize you when you got to heaven. Well its tucked right in there beside you.
Say hi from all of us when you find each other!!!!

As a very new boater back in the late 70's, I was advised by all my seasoned boater friends to take a Power Squadron course, if we planned on taking holiday trips to Gerogian Bay (very good advise). I immediately joined Don Vally and enjoyed every class. All my boater family were so impressed that we had a large gathering at my graduation held at Fantasy Farm's in East York over 30 yrs ago. Since that time I have received every news letter from the squadron and was pleased to see that Vera was still a part of the organization. GOD BLESS HER. It takes dedicated people like her to keep an orginizations wheels grinding. RIP
