Dear Nan and Family: We knew Bob only for a few years. Nonetheless, it seems much, much longer. Bob's love for people extended into his business life and we have been fortunate to share in his knowledge and his enthusiasm for life. We could not have found a more sincere and enjoyable partner. Always a gentlemen who was interested in many facets of life. All of us at Lingohr will miss him and will never forget him.

Dear Nan & family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. He was ‘one of a kind.’ Bob’s presence at the club was enjoyed by all who knew him, members and staff alike. He gave the impression that the primary reason he had come to the club was to ‘catch up’ with the staff and that golf was secondary to the visit making everyone feel special. An encounter with Bob was always enlightening and joyful. His quick wit and sly sense of humour will be what I remember most about this fine man. Nan, to you and your beautiful family that Bob spoke of often and with great pride, my deepest condolences. Sandy

My heartfelt sympathies. Bob was a true friend, and agreat help to me in building my investment firm. He always spoke fondly of Nan and took great pride in his family. I had the pleasure of driving up with Bob to Camp Stewart one day, and that visit and the stories of family gatherings and memorable times inspired me to build a country home for my family just outside of Montreal. Bob was a very special person. I will miss him.

Dear Nan, David & Peter and families, We were surprised and saddened to learn of Bob's sudden passing. I have many good memories of times when we were very young and I spent a few weeks over several summers at Bob's parents' Lime Ridge home and their cottage at nearby Clear Lake. Good memories of Bob are with me when we crossed paths a few times while I was at McGill. Natalie and I were honored to have Bob in our wedding party almost 54 years ago and we were honoured to have both of you at our 50th here in Perth. We know that the support of family and friends will be important and helpful to you all at this time and may the time to come bring you comfort. I believe that we can take solace in knowing that Bob's life was one 'well lived'. With love and best wishes to you all. John & Natalie
