I was so saddened today (Feb 9, 2021) to hear of Donny's passing from so many years ago. I wish I could have been there in support of your family during those very difficult times, if only I had known!
Donny's path and mine crossed when he was a Sgt. at 21 Traffic, a long time ago. It was a pleasure then to have met him and worked for him during those days.
He will always be remembered in my heart and soul, and I am a better person for knowing Don.

Death is a everyone's destiny, May my brother Donald rest in peace and his family be enveloped in the spirit of the LORD through the reality of these difficult times. May the blessings of the LORD be their strength, comforter, and resolve.

I was so saddened to hear of Don's passing. I worked at 52 Division with Don in the early 1980's. Although we were never on the same shift, or shared duties on the same car, I was so impressed with his huge smile and upbeat outlook on life. My police partner, Marv Blaha and I often commented on what a nice guy Don was. I was unaware of his illness until I learned of his passing. His life was far too short, yet he accomplished so much more than many who outlived him. To his family - time cannot heal the hurt you are feeling, however time also cannot erase the memories of what a fantastic personality Don had, and the treasured memories he has left with you. God Bless you all, and Rest In Peace, Don. George

My words alone cannot describe Donny since the first day we met. His enormous smile was always present especially early in the morning when we arrived at work. Donny was like myself in so many ways. Mr. & Mrs. Hale we both came from a rural environment. I had nothing when I joined the Police Force in 1967 but what we had was a very personal bond from the onset. One personal item I will share with you and describe Donny's giving which I will remember for my life time! When I arrived at work one morning! Donny asked me to accompany him what I thought was for breakfast. This is where your memories are made for a life time. Donny was very convincing. He said we are going to see one of his good friends. He drove and we ended up at Pearson Airport escorted on by his close Peel Regional Police friends. We boarded "YES" the British Airways Concorde and met the Captain and had lunch at the Airport!
One thing for sure Don will always be in my heart and although I won't be able to attend his service, my thoughts of Don will always be there with me for the rest of my life!
In closing Donny will remain in my heart.
