It has been almost one year since my younger brother Jay passed away. I will hold him close in my heart and memory forever. We miss him. I loved his emails, our chats on the phone and I will cherish my memories of our moments together forever. He was kind, thoughtful, generous and had a great sense of humour. I am sorry for my Mother's loss of her son, at 90 the loss of her son has been too difficult. I would like to express our deep sympathy to Jerry, 17 years is a long time to share together. I would also like to express my sympathy to my sister as she remembers back over the years of our brother. My dear brother I will love you forever.

17 years..and so it must end. I am sad that it has to end but at the same time I am happy we were given chance to start our lives..first as each person seperately, then together. It wasn't perfect but we never aimed for perfection. We had a good life. We laughed, we cried, we fell, we got up, we dreamt, we failed. We fell so many times and cried so many times but we were always there for each other. I will miss your laugh, your twisted sense of humor, your smile...that glow in your eyes when you laugh. I will miss so many things but don't worry, you left me with so much memories that I will carry in my heart. We've thanked GOD so many times for all the blessings we had but most especially for having each other. We didn't get to fulfill all of our dreams but I guess GOD has better plans for you and me, so we abide. After 17 years, so it must end... Until we meet again my love.

Jay was only three years old when he was backed over by a cement truck. As I came down the street from school all the neighbourhood kids came running to greet me, all abreast across the road. They were yelling at me, Jay has been killed. The shock of such a greeting was terrible. Jay was a living miracle. He had to learn to walk again. That Halloween I pulled him around in a waggon to get his candy. Jay continued to be a blessing in my life for the next 57 years.

We received the passing of my favourite Uncle with shock and sadness. As a child I really looked forward to his visits, we knew they were going to be fun. Jay had such a great sense of humour, he had a way of seeing the funny side life in almost everything. As an adult I enjoyed his and Jerry's company. Jay was very fortunate to find Jerry, that needle in a haystack. With the sadness I feel, I can't imagine Jerry's loss.
Though you have gone our memories stay and we'll hear your laugh and see your smile in them. Jay was a great Uncle, loved brother a cherished son, a devoted husband and a loyal friend.
Good bye, you're missed and will always be missed.
To Jerry words can not begin mend a broken heart so I won't try. Please know you are loved by our family and we would be honoured to have you remain as that needle in a haystack in ours.
Love

Mom we cannot imagine how you feel, as we have never lost a child. Try to take comfort in knowing that Jay is in a place were there is no pain or suffering. Jerry we are sorry for the loss of your best friend and partner. Our hearts hurt for you, as you said; "You are not only an orphan but a widow". Please remember you have two families and that we love you. I am sorry Sandra you have lost your twin brother. To our children I am sorry your favourite Uncle has had to go so soon; time got cut too short for the little great nieces and nephews to really get to know Uncle Jay. Jerry thank your for sharing the last moments of my brother's life with me, I cherished every moment. Jay and myself shared a special bond. I feel so blessed. I believe Jay unselfishly gave you the bond we shared; so now you are stuck with me. My dear brother Jay, I cannot believe it has been almost a week since you left us. I am thankful you are not hurting. It was getting so difficult for you to talk; and with your sense of houmour that we all loved, you introduced me to your nurse as "Your Much Younger Sister" No one called me Weezie quite like you. Ralph and I will both miss you so much. I Will Love You Always and Forever

My brother's career was one of the most important things in his life. He was a very dedicated, hard working, ethical person. He worked so hard putting himself through school. As a child he started working for Loblaws, he worked out west in oil industry. He worked as a cab driver, prison guard, security guard; whatever it took to help him achieve his goals. In later years he worked for the City of Toronto and the Legislative Assembly. He struggles and illness untill passing October 19, 2013. Above he was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, husband and friend. We will miss you my dear brother, more than words can say. Love Weezie (Louise)

I am going to miss you Jay. Everytime you telephoned me, your forgot to say something and had to call back. No Mother wants to have a child go first. When you were born I was 30, when you were 60 I was 90. I loved you then as I love you now. You will always be in my heart. I am thankful you are not hurting anymore. Love Always, Mom

I knew Jay through the Toronto District of the Purchasing Management Association where we both volunteered. Jay was always smiling and was a very caring person. I will miss seeing and talking with him at our informal "Purchasing Group" get-togethers. He will not be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to his partner and to his family. May he rest in peace.
