I was stunned to read of Christine's death, and that she was in fact the same Christine Johnston I went to school with (Madras College) in St.Andrews, from when we were probably 12-15 years of age! She came in from Tayport on the bus. Who knew we were both living in Toronto for so many years. I remember her as an athletic girl, who loved (field) hockey. I can visualize her as clearly as if it was yesterday, and myself running in the wrong direction :) I wonder if any other schoolmates are here in Toronto? My condolences to her family.

Dear Colin,Maureen,Morag,Myra and Family, Our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved sister.Chris was our beloved colleague at Toronto General when we worked in the obstetrical nursing unit. She was someone we always looked up to and admired, both as a skilled mentor and advisor, and as a valued friend.More recently we would all get together semi-annually for lunch, where we would talk about the old days, remember funny incidents or hectic shifts at the hospital, and just enjoy each others company.Chris was the chief organizer of our lunches, and made sure we continued to get together despite our differing schedules and vast geographic distances from each other. We are so grateful that many of us were able to be together with her as recently as several weeks ago. Chris will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered by all of us.She made a difference in our lives and in the lives of her patients.May her memory be a source of blessing and comfort to you.Our thoughts are with you, her family, at this difficult time.
