Dear Barb and family: It is a very hard thing to describe - the loss of a parent and I do share your loss as it was June 15th of last year that we lost my Dad. I send my heartfelt offering of shared grief and hope that the memories somehow move into the quiet spot that is left when the sound of our parent's voice moves on. All my love and support. My deepest condolences to Cam, Barb and Alex. I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Ivey when I was a teenager. She treated all of her daughter Barb's friends wonderfully and showed us an abundance of hospitality. I remember many enjoyable times at their family cottage in Grand Bend with her sitting at the head of the dinner table enhancing us with her pearls of wisdom. She was an very elegant and beautiful woman who was loved and respected by all. Although she will be dearly missed she lived a full and wonderful life and for that we should all be grateful. RIP Mrs. Ivey.

I remember when we were at Branksome Hall together that you always spoke so highly of your Mom and when I was at your home on Richmond Street and met your Mom she was a lovely lady who was gentle and very welcoming. Having lost a parent just a week ago, I fully realize the magnitude of your emotions at this time. My thoughts are with you.
