Obituary of Brian Ridgley
BRIAN ALFRED RIDGLEY
Dr. Brian Alfred Ridgley, 71, of Toronto, ON, died peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Dr. Ridgley subsequently received his Ph.D. from the University of Windsor in 1970. He was the Chief of the Department of Psychology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for over 20 years. He served on numerous committees and task forces with the College of Psychologists and was the Chair of the College from 1992-1993. He was a partner in the psychological practice of Ridgley, Thomas, and Notarfonzo until his retirement. Warm-hearted and generous, Brian had a love of photography, early classical music, the wilderness and bad jokes. He was an avid gardener and wonderful cook. Brian will be dearly missed by numerous friends, colleagues and family members, including daughters Andrea (Adrien Whan) and Jennifer, son Jason, stepsons Michael (Meredith) and Chris O'Reilly (Tamara), sister Sylvia and dog Pepper. He is mourned by his friends of Garden Court, Mary Easton (Doug), Jeanne Langston, and is predeceased by Sharron Ridgley. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W.
