I share with my husband Don Gauer in condolences for all the Galt family. In moving from Oxford academic to Sun Life big business society (1980), I found Tom Galt embodied the ideal of both: highly intelligent, excelled in his field, was a superb top manager, well read and culturally sophisticated, had good values and strong integrity, was altogether a gracious gentleman, quick to smile at good humour.

We are saddened at Tom's death. He was a role model to me and many others. He set standards for ethics and morals that are so lacking today in many parts of society (but not Sun Life) Condolences to Helen and family. Don and Dorris Gauer

Tom, with his integrity and intelligence represented so much that was admirable about Sun Life. My late husband Richard and I shared many happy times with Tom and Helen and they were both held in great affection by their many friends in the British Division. My condolences to all the family.
