Cathy Was such a fighter and was such a generous person. She always put her family first, and even when she was having bad days she still put on a happy face and went on with life. Cathy was so beautiful and had such a beautiful family. No one will ever forget Cathy. I pray for the family, and send love to the Veres family.

I did not know Cathy except for on the tennis court. I met her last year and immediately was drawn to her. She always had the biggest and most beautiful smile that just made you want to get to know her. She wash fun, always laughing and full of life that I looked forward to seeing her and playing with her each week. I was devastated when I heard the news of Cathy and my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to her family. I am so thankful I had the privilege of knowing her and will always remember her gorgeous smile.

Cathy was fascinating. I remember her from Wapomeo days and BSS days. I always liked her and she was so genuine and such a real soul. We always laughed when we caught up and I realize now in life how important that is.
I am glad to know Cathy and am proud to have had her in my life.
Denis you will always have her love and so will your children. This is something that will never change and you are lucky to have with you.
XOXO

Although we didn't know Cathy well, we have been friends with her father, Bill Taylor, for many years, and remember Cathy as a teenager with her constant smile and incredible energy. From Bill's stories she obviously carried this through as a great mom and wife. We want to express our heartfelt sadness and condoolense to Denis, his children and Bill.

Cathy was an inspiration. She was so warm, positive and full of life. She had a wonderful sense of humour and never took herself too seriously. I will never forget when she joked that "she had to get cancer to be let into the Bedford musical:)" From the early days, watching Cathy & Denis working out together at the gym it was obvious their relationship was special. My heart goes out to Denis, Taylor, Sidney and Ryan - words simply cannot express how much she will be missed.

Cathy and I started life at the same time. We were born the same day and the same year, March 11, 1968 one in North America and the other In South America. We ended living two doors down from each other when we moved to Toronto 8 years ago. I will remember always your smile and carry it with me wherever I go. I will miss your energy and all that you did to make life on our street fun. Teresa

Denis, Taylor, Sydney and Ryan. Cathy was a very special person to me and I will miss her terribly. We were so lucky to be your neighbours for 7 years. I always felt such comfort knowing you were just across the street. Cathy was always there for me and my boys providing support in so many ways. No matter how big or small our conversations were either over the garbage cans or over a glass of wine, I loved every one of them with Cathy. She was always so positive and her energy was contagious. She was so brave and never gave up hoping for better outcomes throughout her illness, and always put everyone else first. I have and always will admire Cathy for the incredible woman, wife, mother and friend she was...she has taught me some very valuable life lessons and I thank her deeply for that...I hope you find comfort knowing that she is watching over you every day and smiling at what a wonderful family you are...even though we aren't right across the street anymore the boys and I are always here for you...lot's of love, Jen, Cameron, Paddy & William xoxo

Dear Denis and family, our hearts broke when we heard of Cathy's passing. The last time I saw Cathy was at Bedford and she was smiling and her eyes were sparkling as always, as if it was just another ordinary day. Ravi and I often discussed how fierce she was in her final years, seemingly not letting anything stop her from living her life to the fullest. She is truly an inspiration. We can only hope that the love and memories you've shared over a lifetime bring you some comfort. Deep, Ravi, Kaura, and Rohan

We were incredibly saddened to hear about Cathy's passing and were struck by the inescapable reality of how cruel and unfair life can be. Our hearts go out to the entire family and hope you are comforted by the memories you have of better times. We know she will in your hearts forever and that is the greatest tribute one can leave.

I met Cathy in late 2003 in a check out line at Loblaws. She was very pregnant with Ryan and had just finished a huge shop with her 2 beautiful girls in the buggy. Little did I know then that our lives would cross paths again as Bedford Park moms. Being involved in any of the school's committees was always more fun and special if Cathy was involved too. I remember fondly when she put plastic spider rings in the punch ice cubes for Taylor's gd 5 Halloween party..she always went that extra mile for the kids...for anybody! I will smile every time I think of Cathy driving around in her big, black truck or running up the street in her tennis whites after dropping the kids at school. I feel blessed and honoured to have known Cathy. I will miss her very much!!

Denis, Taylor, Sidney and Ryan - I was lucky to have been Cath's "book club friend" for all of these years. She made us all laugh and cry with her stories, but the way she loved all of you is what I will remember the most about Cathy. She was strong and stubborn and would not let her illness get in the way of her living her life and sharing it with all of you. She was a good friend who took a real interest in the lives of others and was always there to lift our spirits, encouraging us to look on the brighter side of life. She made everyone who knew her a little better. I will miss her and I will never, ever forget her. Love Norah

Cathy was an incredible woman in so many ways. She was so positive, courageous and full of energy. I will always remember her smiling face and warm, welcoming personality. I loved being her tennis partner as she never took herself too seriously and we shared many laughs between points. She was a true inspiration to those around her. She spoke often of Denis, Taylor, Sidney and Ryan and how much you meant to her. She will be dearly missed.
