With apologies on learning this news so late, I send my deepest condolences on Gage's passing to his family. He was my oldest second cousin, and someone I got to know better in more recent years on committee work. His passion for music and support for the Arts was inspiring. We shared stories about family history and the long lasting friendship between our parents. Rest in peace, Gage. You are sincerely missed, Dinny Biggs

Few educators have the impact that Mr Love did on his students. As part of a recent move, I came across several papers that I wrote for his class as well as a copy of his masters thesis. I kept them for twenty years because his enthusiasm for the subject and faith in our ability to grasp it had a profound effect on how I saw myself and my world. He will be missed. RSGC 1990

My sincere condolences to Gage's family. It was an honour and a privilege to know him and to have taught along side of him for 18 years. Although I am unable to attend the memorial service my thoughts and prayers are with his family. The Ball Hockey Hall of Fame now has a valued member.

I was privileged to have taken a number of Mr. Love's history classes at RSGC. Gage was a dedicated teacher who was committed to all of his students. He really put the extra effort in. I seem to recall a number of classes going long and everyone being so involved in the material that no one was paying attention to the time. My sincerest condolences to Gage's faimly. You will be missed Sir! Philip Chow, RSGC 2002

I am so sorry to hear of Gage's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent during summers up at King, and him joining us for family dinners in Toronto. I will always remember Gage for his big smile and joyous laugh- which came so easily and often and could light up a room! My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time.

My family was very sadden to learn of Gage's passing. He was a wonderful teacher at Royal St. Georges. My son Aaron thought the world of Gage. Gage told my son he could accomplish anything he put his mind too. Well today Aaron is a very successful Canadian Tire Dealer. What more can I say? Gage will always be remembered for the man he was.

We are so sorry to all of Gage's family to learn of the early loss of Gage Jr. The majority of my memories of Gage are focused on the early years, where as young cousins we use to get together at West Winds for wonderfully warm family reunions, and the proverbial baseball game on the front lawn, followed in later years with square dancing on the tennis court. Gage's enthusiasm for life always shone through and his kind, gentle soul prevailed in spite of his medical hardships, in the later years, during our far too infrequent get togethers. We are so sorry for the loss of this beautiful soul. Flavelle and Elizabeth Barrett

This wonderful man was my teacher through Blythe & Co. in 1995. We travelled to England & France, and he taught an OAC Modern Western Civilization course. Other students were jealous - we had the best educator on the entire trip. He was kind and fair and brought history alive during a time when all his students wanted to do was visit the pub! I have always considered Gage (don't have to call him Mr. Love during the summer months) to be my greatest teacher ever. Sincerest condolences to the family. Rest in peace, Gage.

Fifteen years ago when Gage first came to me as a patient, he had no idea that we had a previous connection. I recognized him immediately, however. “Gage! We played baseball together in grade five!!” He had no memories of our grade five class and was taken by surprise. However, over the years, and through the ups and downs of his illnesses, we both came to strongly value our relationship. I felt honoured to get to know him as he talked warmly of his love for his sons, for his students, and for music. My sincere condolences to Sandra, Austin, Bryce, and their families. I will truly miss Gage’s positive energy, his warmth, and his love of life.

Dear Sandra, I remember well when you and Gage met and what fun it was to hear about your growing connection. You two had many adventures from Toronto to Cobourg to Picton! Gage was a gentle and charming host when we (your work buddies) invaded your condo. I am sorry I won’t be able to be at Gage’s memorial. I hope that you get lots of hugs and strength from your friends who are there. Carla and I are thinking of you fondly, Ann Holmes & Carla Morse
