Dear Phil&Chris,
I have only wonderful memories of your mom&dad. They would always tell me of my babyhood when we all lived in the army camp after WW2.Naturally I have no memory of that time ,but they made it sound like an adventure.
Your mom was always interested in what I was doing and I thought she was glamorous.Your father was so kind, I remember him picking me up off the ice after I fell and required sutures in my knee,he took me to Dr. McCallums -he was my champion, great guy
Nancy was one of a kind and I'll always think of her with fondness, she&Jacque were quite the femmes formidable.
I would love to hear from you,John & I live in Port Dover.
Please extend our sympathy to all the family I still enjoy a lovely painting that Nancy painted in the mid 60's.

Dear Chris and Philip, We are sorry to hear that your mother passed away recently. I understand that she was elderly but even at that, death is so final. As a young person who grew up in Delhi and knew your father mostly from a dentist chair and only vaguely, your mother through the Delhi figure skating club I was intrigued when I read her obituary. How wonderful that you shared that part of her life with all of us. What a beautiful women. My husbands family , Edith and Roly Hill attended ST. Albans church. Edith took part in many St. Albans functions which your mother would have been part of. Your mother offered much to the community and many are thankful for her expertise. With all sincerity we offer our sympathy. Mike and Donna (Stapleton)Hill

Your mother was a special friend and neighbour here in Lynedoch. She was welcoming from that first day in 1992. I only knew your father briefly but long enough to understand in part their special bond; Nancy told many stories about her life both in New York and the early days in this village. It was a privilege to be a listener and to be so entertained........for she could surely tell a good story and share a good laugh over a cold drink in her garden. She has been missed for a very long time; two of her watercolours help fill that gap and bring on a smile when reminding me of her. Farewell Nancy

We were rural neighbors of Nancy's. We would ride our bicycles into Lynedoch, by Nancy's home where she would often be sitting in the garden reading the newspaper. She always welcomed you to sit and the wonderful stories would evolve about her life prior to WWII, after and her journey to Lynedoch. We miss those conversations since Nancy moved to Toronto in her later years. Nancy supported the Lynedoch Community Group with passion and volumes of knowledge. Judy & Larry Chanda

Christopher and Philip will probably not remember me but I remember their family quite well. My family lived in Delhi and my father, Ted Cracknell, was the local barber. My mother, Jane, worked closely with Nancy at St. Alban's Church and it was my mother who encouraged Nancy to make a sketch of the church which was then used on stationery as a fundraiser for St. Alban's. I think I may still have some of those notepapers. Their father, John, was of course our dentist and I remember his work on the School Board. Nancy brought a spark of life to our little community and Terry and I enjoyed reading of her many accomplishments during her long life. Terry and I now live in Toronto and I remember Nancy mentioning that she and John had been married at St. Bartholomew's in New York where my father-in-law had been rector for many years. Best wishes to all the family. AJ Finlay
