Obituary of Charles Careen

CAREEN, Charles Francis Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre after a sudden but courageous battle with cancer in his 69th year. Leaving to mourn is his wife of 43 years Christina, daughters Sandra and husband Anthony Eveleigh of Courtice, Ontario and Connie Granville of Placentia, Newfoundland. Proud papa of Corina and Josh, Michael, Leigh-Anne and Leslie. Survived by 14 brothers and sisters and their families. Charles was superintendent at 1299 Bayview Avenue for 14 years, leaving behind many friends especially Eva and Harry Greene. Predeceased by parents Agnes and Bert, his brother Anthony and sister Mary. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22. Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Odette Cancer Centre.
