We here at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum are sad to hear of the passing of Gordon. He won the Lifetime Media award called the Jack Graney award in 1987. He will be missed greatly and we are thinking about his family.

Neil was one of the greatest sports columnists of his day and one of the finest fellows one could ever know ... Many, many happy and amusing memories can be recalled ... Neil shall be fondly remembered forever by all those of us who knew him, met him and by all those who appreciated his great body of work over time.

Bill and I were saddened to read of the death of our long time friend Neil MacCarl who along with his deceased wife Mary were close friends. Neil was always cheerful and had a smile of his face and he will be sadly missed by his family and all of his long time friends. We knew him both through his baseball connections and through curling activities and he leaves behind many close connections. He will be sadly missed.
