Obituary of Helen Maxwell Stuart

STUART, Helen Maxwell (nee Harvie) January 27, 1920 �" May 22, 2007 Helen passed away in her sleep at daybreak at the Huronia District Hospital in Midland, Ontario. She is greatly missed by her immediate family and friends. Beloved mother of Robert and his wife Joan, James and his wife Jeannie and Jan and her husband John MacIntyre. Loving grandmother of Aidan Wood, Lindsay, Alec and Bede Stuart and Melissa, Mary and Robbie MacIntyre. She was predeceased by her husband Robert David Stuart, her parents Dr. William Arthur and Marjorie Ada Harvie and her brother Alec Harvie. Helen was born in Regina. She graduated from Household Science at Trinity College, University of Toronto in 1942 and married her beloved Bob in September of that year. Helen and Bob raised their three children in Toronto. In 1951, they bought a cottage at Cedar Point on Georgian Bay, which became a focal point for friends, family and many, many enjoyable times. After her kids grew up, she worked at Birks for close to 20 years. Helen enjoyed an independent lifestyle attending shows and lectures, playing bridge, travelling and staying at the cottage until shortly before passing. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 24th. A service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m on Friday, May 25th. If desired, donations to the Huronia District Hospital, Midland, 1112 St. Andrew's Drive, P.O.
