Sadly, it was only recently, while looking for old friends online (a fairly-common pursuit, I imagine, amongst retired-&-aging teachers), that I learned of Amilcare’s death, back in 2007. Almost six decades ago, “Mimi” (as I knew him) and I were classmates and friends at Oakwood Collegiate Institute. Though time has clouded many of my memories, I do recall a quiet and gentle young man, who was warmly pleasant in conversation and comfortable to be around. Some fifteen years too late, I am now uploading a composite image (scanned from the 1964 Oracle) of Mr. Gordon’s grade 11A class (especially with so much time having elapsed, I doubt that anyone will mind) and sending much-belated condolences to Mimi’s family. With sympathy and prayers… Garrick de Demeter

I learned of Professor Iannucci's death with profound regret. As a postgraduate student in the 1980's, I benefited greatly from his knowledge and his support and encouragement. He remained a mentor and a friend. My deepest sympathy to his children and to all the members of his family. He will be very much missed. Sincerely, Joan Friedman
