Obituary of Gertrude Middaugh
MIDDAUGH, Gertrude Evelyn
An incredible Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother! Peacefully in her own home in Toronto on Monday, October 15, 2012, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her much loved husband Frank and eldest son James. Beloved mother of Lynda (Robin Holloway) and Paul (Linda). Special "Grandma Gert" of Thomas, Kevin, Tara (Denton Bonney) and Jason (Sienna). Dear "Great-Grandma" of Peyton, Peja and Echo. A life well lived; she brought joy and happiness wherever she went. A great Matriarch, friend, and neighbour. Well-known for her feasts and baking in both her home in Toronto and at the cottage on Lake of Bays (her butter tarts were the best!). Her door was open to all. The family is grateful for the services of SRT and their caring staff who helped her stay in her own home. Thanks to Dr. Ylanko for being there when we needed him. Private family service and interment have taken place. A public celebration of Gertrude's life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles Chapel Limited, Toronto, 416-487-4523. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
