I was saddened to hear the news today of Mr. Jeffs' passing. I remember him with fondness and respect for the kind of Government administrator he portrayed. May I extend condolences to his family who I am sure will miss him and his spirit.

Our sympathies and our thoughts are with George's family at this time of sorrow. George will be remembered by us for his keen sense of humour and his interesting civil service recollections. We were fortunate to meet George via our neighbour Sam Smith.

I was sorry to read of the recent death of Mr. Jeffs. He was a former patient, who I had known for a couple of years, through my general practice. He was a dignified, kind-hearted man, almost always with a smile ! With respect, Jeffrey Mills, M.D.
