It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Herb Lee on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 101. Born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, he lived and worked in Toronto for over seventy years. Predeceased by his dear wife, Margaret (nee Daniel). Loving father of Wendy (Bob) Shephard and Lynda Barnett. Cherished Poppa of Allyson (Curtis), Michael (Tara) and Jesse. Loving Great-Poppa of Jackson, Kathryn, Jake and Matthew. Dear brother of Viola Lee and Phyllis James and brother-in-law of Barbara Lee, all of Peterborough. Also, predeceased by brothers Jack and Wilf, sister-in-law Mary Lee and brother-in-law Bill James. Honest, loyal and ethical, Herb was a dedicated Chiropractor committed to bringing relief to those in pain and to teaching his technique to generations of students at his beloved Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He practiced Chiropractic and cared for patients into his 90th year. A dedicated family man, he will always be remembered as an avid photographer, a lover of music, an occasional artist, a seasoned cottager, a sports fan and a gentleman. He was a lifetime member of Canada Lodge and a parishioner of St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church since 1944. The family wishes to thank the staff of Nisbet Lodge for their kindness and compassion in the care of our Father over the past year and a half. Friends will be received at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25. A Celebration of Herb's life will be held in ST CUTHBERT'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1399 Bayview Avenue, Toronto on Friday, October 26 at 12:30 p.m. Memorial donations, in his name may be made to CMCC (Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College), 6100 Leslie Street, Toronto M2H 3J1 or to a charity of your choice.
