Obituary of Victor G. Hirst

VICTOR G. HIRST Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Ian Anderson House, after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in his 78th year. Much loved father of Vicki and husband Eric and Jeff and his wife Delia. Dear grandfather of Tegan, Brittney, Geoffrey and Christopher. He will be sadly missed by brother Gary, friends Fay, Oscar, Alex and Jhonathan and by his many other relatives and friends. Victor had a long and respected career in the automotive industry. He retired in 1994 as Senior Vice President of Mazda Canada. The family wishes to thank the staff of the VON and CCAC and all his caregivers over the last 18 months for their professional and caring support. A special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at the Ian Anderson House. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, August 25th. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, August 26th at 11 o�clock with a reception to follow in the Leaside Room. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
