Obituary of Graham Randall Roberts

Graham Randall ( Randy) Roberts B.Arch., MBA, OAA Taken from us unexpectedly and too soon, on Friday, September 30, 2005, aged 50, while enjoying life to the fullest, motorcycling with friends. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and colleagues in both Toronto and his hometown, Milford Bay, Ontario. Randy is survived by Diana Lee Osborne, his partner in love and in life for close to 25 wonderful years. Beloved son of Beverley and Joyce Roberts of Milford Bay; dear to brother Stephen, sister-in-law Cathy, uncle Doug and cousins Eddie, Dwight, Glenda, Reg, Rip, Bayliss and Lori and a cherished extended family member of the Osbornes, Irene, Jim, Jamie, Lisa, Peter, Susan, Catherine, Kaspar, Joseph, Lark and Will and the Barberians, Osbornes and Breggs. Randy received his Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University and his MBA from the University of Toronto. Building on his successful career as an Architect, he joined Cansult Hanscomb Projects Inc. , a project management firm, as President and CEO in 2003. Randy contributed enormously to his chosen field, serving the Ontario Association of Architects in many capacities. He was elected to council in 2003 and was elected President of the OAA in January 2005. Those who know him will remember him for his love, loyalty, generousity and warmth and his passion for skiing, golf and more recently, motorcycling. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, (1-800-616-3311) 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2:00pm-4:00pm amd 7:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2005. Cremation has taken place. An intimate service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at St. Mark�s Anglican Church, Milford Bay, Ontario. A memorial celebration for his wide circle of friends, family and colleagues, will be held in Toronto at a later date. The family wishes to establish an award in Randy�s name.
