BECIGNEUL, Edith May (nee Van Rassel) March 4, 1920 - August 22, 2012 Died peacefully at Sunset Manor, Collingwood where she resided for eight years. Born in Cochrane, Ontario to Andrew and Dinah Van Rassel, residing in northern Ontario and settling in Toronto for 50 plus years. Beloved wife of the late George A. Becigneul. Loving mother of Robert (Elizabeth) of Florida and Kathleen Oates (Bill Blakely) of Toronto. Loved by grandchildren Ginette Perez and Sarah Varela, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Survived by her sister Marie Malone of Aurora. Edith always missed her late brother William and is survived by his wife Anne. Edith lived a full life enjoying her many years at Stoney Lake and Collingwood. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to 'the girls' Shirley, Rosie and Wanda, that loved and cared for her during the many weekday visits and chats. Also to her dedicated first cousins Bob and Pierette who spent lots of time in Collingwood visiting and caring for her over the years - Cheers! Cremation has taken place.
