Obituary of Ruth Margaret Armstrong

ARMSTRONG, Ruth Margaret Peacefully at Toronto on Sunday evening June 12, 2005 with her family by her side. Born November 25, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Robert Gordon Agnew, K.C. and Anna Mary Banting. Predeceased by her brother Rea E. Agnew and his wife Isobel. Dearly loved wife of the late William G. Armstrong, Arch. Adored mother of Sally Carson and Janet Armstrong. Dearly loved grandmother of Christopher Carson, her only grandchild, who gave her such pride. Residents of Oakville for fifty-four years, Ruth and Bill raised their family and enjoyed a very happy life. Ruth will be remembered for her unfailing devotion to her family and her generous and caring spirit. Much love and thanks are extended to Central Park Lodge, Thorncliffe. The exceptional care Ruth and Bill received supported them and our family over the past three and a half years. The family will always be indebted to Lorna and the very special care she gave our parents and also Rose who devoted herself on weekends. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15. A celebration of Ruth�s life will take place on Friday, June 17 at 1 o�clock in the chapel. Private family burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
