Dear Sally. When I saw the photo of your mother and the accompanying obituary in the Globe and Mail, I instantly recognized her beautiful smile and your resemblance to her from many years ago. I can still remember meeting her at your home in Oakville [was it really 50 years ago?!]and thinking what a beautiful and charming woman she was. I'm sure you will miss her so much Sally. Although it has been many years since you and I were in touch, I have such fond [but vague] memories of our friendship when you and I were close friends from our camping days. I have often wondered of your whereabouts and would love to reconnect and get to know each other again. I send my condolences to both you and Janet and hope that over time, your sense of loss will be lessened through the support of family and friends. Please drop me a line when you have a minute. We are in Qualicum Beach BC now enjoying a well deserved retirement. Our address is 790 Windward Place. Qualicum beach BC V9K 2K7. 250 752 7870 email above. Affectionatley, Donna

Sorry to read about your mother. I can see Sally in your mother's face. My mother died in Oakvile Nov 6/04 before her 100th birthday Nov 20/04. Seeing your family name brings back fond memories of the Oakville Club. I wrote to an Armstrong years ago on a business promotion as I thought it was Janet. Hope all is well. Alistair
