Dear Bruce and Family It has been a very long time since we last spoke but I thought I would just reach out and offer my condolences for the passing of your father. I have many fond memories of growing up together in Lawrence Park and playing together as kids. I don't know if you would remember the summer we went down to the CNE in your father's limousine - it made quite an impression on me at the time :) I was back at a Crescent reunion a couple of years ago and it was very funny to see all the guys. Again I am very sorry for your loss. Perhaps we can keep in touch - I will leave it up to you on the timing - I am assuming you will get to see my email address as part of this system but just in case andrew@rockpoint.com mobile 604-789-5814. Regards, Andrew Lane from Blanchard Road and from Crescent days.

I was greatly saddened and shocked to read of Don's passing upon my return to Toronto. I joined the executive ranks of CIBC in 1985 and Don's leadership and personality set the tone for me and others to aspire to be our best at all times. He possessed the qualities attributable to an elder statesman and it was always a pleasure to be in his presence. Yes, I feel robbed that he left us so suddenly but I am so grateful for God's loan of this fine man to us and his time among us.

Mr. Fullerton kindly offered me my first summer job at the CIBC when I was a university student. My parents lived next door to the Fullertons on Cross Place in Regina Saskatchewan. Donald Fullerton was, I know, a good neighbour to my parents Les and Agens Groome. They have both passed away now but I know they would want me to extend their condolences to the family.

For five years i have been part of the fifth floor team, and i never have any regret working with your teams, i remember you as a quit man just a crock of a smile on your face, looking under never straight in the face with head nod. I pray your family will find the strength peace and a bond so full of love that will hold all together for life. May God continue to bless the Fullerton family.

My sincerest condolence to the family and I just want to convey to you that the years where Mr. Fullerton was the chairman is so far the best one in my entire tenure (22 years) with CIBC. He encourages education and very much a role model in his leadership.

To Judy and all family members, It is with great sadness that I learned of Don's passing away. From the moment I met Don, I always felt that his energy and enthusiasm was contagious. I believe he will be with us forever. I tried to rearrange my work schedule to be with you to honour Don's memory. Sadly, it was impossible for me to be there because of a public engagement that I am personally involved in and which is occurring today. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Having lost my father seven months ago, I am very sensitive to the sadness of this moment. With heartfelt sympathy. Charles Sirois

I was saddened this morning to read of Don's passing. I wish to extend my sincerest condolences to Judy and the entire family. I had the priviledge to serve and counsel Don when he visited the pharmacy on St.Clair Ave W which I managed. He was truly a fine gentleman I always looked forward to seeing and talking to him . He will sorely be missed. May the family not know of sadness for a long time. Chuck Horowitz.

To the Family Don and I became friends through Husky. We would see each other when he came to Calgary or Hong Kong or when I went to Toronto. We had similar sense of humour and we teased each other ever time we talked on the phone or met. The death of Don is a true loss to his family, the business community and to Canada. I was honoured to know Don and to call him a friend. With the greatest respect I offer my condolence. Don Ingram, Calgary, AB

I am sure I speak for others at KPMG who also worked closely with Don, that Don was highly respected, among his many talents, for his ability to balance the goals and wishes of various parties, for his no-nonsense style in and outside of the boardroom, for his willingness to be available to us anytime and anywhere, and, last but not least, for his dry sense of humour. I know Don was joking about his 80th birthday that would be celebrated soon; I am sure he will be fondly remembered on that day. Leontine Atkins, Partner Husky Energy
