Dear Cynthia and Wendy. Very sorry to read of your father's passing. We had intended to attend the Service of Remembrance but circumstances did not permit. We will always remember Willie's "Toot-Toot" and his infectious smile. He was a great friend in need when Elaine passed and for that we are forever grateful. All the best to you and your families at this time. You are in our thoughts. Dennis, Michael, and Lindsay

It is with great sadness that we receive the announcement of the passing of Dr. William MacKenzie, Past President and Life Member of the Toronto Academy of Dentistry on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. "Dr. Bill" as he was known to his patients was dedicated and compassionate to his patients, caring to his family, and a contributor to the dental profession. On behalf of the Toronto Academy of Dentistry we extend our deepest sympathies to Dr. MacKenzie's family and we always remember his wonderful warm smile.

Dear Cynthia and Wendy. For several years I was your father's dental assistant when his office was at Eglington and Mount Pleasant, above the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. You were both little girls at the time. Ann and Bill played a very special part in my life, and your mother was a great help when I was making plans for my wedding. I left your father's practice when I was expecting my first daughter Cathie, who has just turned 50. We remained patients of Bill's until his retirement. To this day William is fondly remembered by our family as "Dr. Bill". Please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jean and Ken Freeman, Cathie, Elizabeth and David

This expression of sympathy comes from myself and my Mom Babs Harper. My father Dr. Ted Harper was very involved in the ODA with Bill and my Mom was involved in the ladies program with Ann (she will tell you that it was because of Ann that she was able to get up and talk in front of a group of people!) Every year when the convention was on in Toronto and they stayed at what was then the Crowne Plaza Hotel, I would go over and meet Mom and Dad for dinner and would often have a "cocktail" in the hospitality suite with Bill and Ann! I remember his warm inviting personality and his lovely smile.
