She was an boat that had seen better days up at Eagle Lake. A small punt of a sailboat that could barely stay a float. Robert decided it was time to scuttle her out in the middle of the lake. We must have been all of 13 years old at the time. We towed the Pogo out to the middle of Eagle Lake with another boat we had loaded with rocks. Robert gave the sermon of sorts to the Pogo's final moments and we proceeded to fill her full of rocks and I would assume she is still sitting at the bottom of Eagle Lake today.

Robert will be remembered for his generosity by his friends from the High Park Ski Club and the High Park Tennis Club. Many friendships and marriages came about as the result of the numerous House and Pool Parties he hosted from his home in Toronto and then in Ajax. He will not be forgotten. Valerie Sutherland

Dear Sue and the Magee Family, Our sincerest condolences to all of you. Robert was an inspiration to all and any that met and knew him. When we hung out as teenagers he quickly made friends up in the Inglewood area when he visited. As well we had such great times at Eagle Lake. There are many people that wish to express their deep sorrow that certainly remember his wonderful nature.

As young men Bob and I shared EMS laughs and "war stories" as crew-mates at 18 station. You were a decent egg "Magoo". My condolences to your family.

Robert was my cousin. I had not seen Robert for many years. I always had a good laugh with him. He had a great sense of humor, that many appreciated. Those close to him, I wish to forward my sincere condolences. Ben Evans

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Although I only met Robert once, I do remember his trademark smile. That the first words Robert's family and friends associate with him are 'smile' and 'kindness' is a wonderful tribute to him. May your many happy memories comfort you at this time. Robert has left this life, and a devoted wife and family, with his own inimitable impression. A loving and friendly individual whose career in the caring profession as an EMS frontline medic touched the lives of countless individuals in the GTA. I witnessed his warm smiles bring relief and comfort to our patients whenever we worked together. His memory will live forever in our hearts and minds as he rests in peace.

My brother always had a smile and a positive attitude. He was courageous while dealing with this horrific disease. He chose to live a quiet life with his wife Susan and his cats. Thank you Susan for your devotion, care and love you showed him. I pray that you will find peace in his death as he no longer has to suffer as he did. He no longer is having the daily battle with his pain. My brother left his mark in this world. He will be greatly missed. Love Liz

I was so very sorry to hear of Robert's passing. As it happens in life we grow apart as we age,but never the less I still have fond memories of our families getting together for Sunday dinners. Rob was one of the first to come and say hello and ask how you were doing. I will never forget Robs big smile and his even bigger laugh. Robert has no more pain and has begun a new journey. Cousin Dave

Dear Sue, We surely will miss our Robert's courage and humour. He showed us such bravery and dignity during his illness and struggles. Robert was concerned that we should carry-on without undo sadness or regrets. He lived his life his way, but a good way for all who knew him. And, if you knew him, there was no doubt that Robert was there for you. Thank you, Sue, for all your hard work and love and devotion to our brother Robert. We miss him dearly; may he rest in peace eternally. All our love, Joanie and David
