Leslie Dutton

Obituary of Leslie Dutton

Leslie Anne Dutton (Wilcox) Always remembered for her smiling face and sense of humour, Leslie died peacefully on Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at home with her loving husband and best friend, Paul by her side. Cherished daughter of Ian and Dorothy - 'big sister' of Brian (Susan) and aunt to Michael, Amy and Timmy. She was a wonderful and helpful niece to Marnie Stoyle. For Leslie, the 'glass was never half empty', it was always 'full'… Full of love, full of life and full of passion. Leslie was always looking for a challenge. An avid whitewater canoeist, she paddled both the Grand Canyon and Nahanni River twice. Music and her violin were very much a focus of her life and for many years she volunteered as a member of the North York Symphony. She tackled each day of work at Hewitt with the same enthusiasm as the day before and could turn adversity into opportunity. Leslie got her wish which was to spend the last year of her life with Paul, Hayley and Tipper at their cottage on Ayrhart Lake in Bancroft, watching the seasons change one last time. She will be sadly missed by her business associates, many friends and especially her family. Leslie's family is appreciative of the kind care provided by her palliative support team that enabled her to stay at home. Please consider a memorial donation to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care; Joseph & Wolf Lebovic Health Complex, 60 Murray Street, 4th Floor, Toronto M5T 3L9 or to Camp Oochigeas; 464 Bathurst Street, Toronto M5T 2S6. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4th, 2011. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5th. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
