Obituary of Raymond Domenico

Suddenly and peacefully in the morning of Friday, January 21, 2011 Raymond Thomas Domenico passed away at his home in his 79th year of his full and loving life. Survived by his wife of 45 years Janet Domenico (nee Reed), daughters Susan Domenico and Jane Domenico (Kent Orr), grandchildren Rae Simonne Domenico and Jeremy Domenico Orr and brother Norman Domenico. Predeceased by his mother Susan Domenico (nee Bortolotti) and his sister Lillian Domenico. He spent the last 62 years in the hotel industry, starting as a bell hop at the Royal Connaught Hotel in Hamilton and worked his way across Canada and the United States to become a well respected Hotelier with notable positions with (Commonweatlth) Holiday Inns, The Hotel Triumph, Essex Park Hotel and Mohawk Inn. For the last 14 years he operated the Hotel Victoria in downtown Toronto. He lived his life with passion, vitality, pride, compassion for others, dignity, intelligence and love for his family, his friends and his life. In memory, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 3:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. A service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 o'clock.
