What a wonderful sweet man Ray was. I dealt with him on a business bases but it seemed so personal. We were both Italian and that meant to Ray we were of the same fraternity. He always had time for me and was opened to new ideas. He was from a slower tempoed, and socialable time. I was shocked when I discovered in mid February that he had passed away. The good die young.

After hearing so many stories about Ray during my many years with CHIC, it was so nice to meet him and Janet at the 2nd London reunion in 2001. Since then he has attended many of the reunions and graced us with his humourous stories and gentle mannerisms. He will be sorely missed at the future gatherings. Sincere condolences to Janet and extended family. Ann Lenk

We were so saddened to hear of Ray's passing. We first met Ray in 1965 when I joined the original Holiday Inn group in Ontario, he was already a veteran. In 1969 he and Jim Havers and I became the company's first District Directors. Too soon he departed to seek his career. Ray was one of the most dynamic personalities I have ever met, the ideal Hotelier. He was a true people person, his guests and employees alike were devoted fans. Once met, you would remember him and he had the gift of always remembering you. To Janet and family our sincere sympathies.

I remember Ray fondly from the early Commonwealth Holiday Inns days in London. He was like a member of the family, and was always so kind and thoughtful, always smiling, and a great hotelier. My sympathies go out to the Domenico family, who have lost a wonderful man. Penny Rubinoff

I've had the great pleasure of knowing Ray for the last 10 years .... Always looking forward to his cheerful smile and gentle conversation. Janet, to you and your family, I offer my most sincere sympathy on the loss of this good and caring man. His gift was never forgetting a face, and never allowing anyone to feel less than their best in his presence. It was a privilege to work with him and he sure won't be forgotten.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Janet and family. I have many fond memories of Ray: in the '60's we worked together at the first Canadian Holiday Inn in London. He was influential in my persuing a career in hotel managment. A kinder man would be hard to find. God bless.

Dearest Janie, Janet and Susie - words cannot begin to express how deeply saddened I am by this sudden and tragic news - My heart goes out to all of you for your tremendous loss. We will all miss your Dad so much ! Mr. Domenico was such a special man and such a great father - I have so many wonderful memories of our childhood together... Even when he was scolding us for something stupid we'd done (like the time we threw that wild party) - he always did it in such a fair and understanding way. He was a very special man and he will be missed by all of us. I am grateful that Nicolas got to meet him and your Mom and Susie and the kids and that we could all be together with your family that sunny day in Toronto at the townhouse pool - just like the old days!! I know how happy Nicolas was to meet everyone. I am also so glad that our parents became such good friends in the past few years. I am sending you all my deepest condolences. I am so sorry I won't be able to be with you at the memorial but I am planning to come to Toronto soon to spend time with you! Please know that I am thinking of you all during this incredibly difficult time and sending you all my love, Vicki

My sympathies go out to the entire Domenico family. I know Ray back in the 70's with Commonwealth Holiday Inns. Everyone from the good old days remembers Ray as a professional Hotelier who treated everyone with respect and dignity. I hadn't seen Ray until a few years ago, until I ran the Commonwealth Christmas get togethers and he was as gracious today as he was when when I first met him. God bless all of you. Gord Langford
