Obituary of David Fernandes

FERNANDES, David It is with great sadness and shock that we announce the sudden passing of David Fernandes, at the young age of 55. David was the beloved husband of Elizabeth. Loving son of the late Joseph and Blanche Fernandes, brother of the late Rollanda. Survived by his brother Raymond and his sisters Ramona, Raulina Kesteven (Wayne), and Rebecca. David faithfully served as a long time comptroller for the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 23rd. A celebration of David's life will take place in ST. MONICA'S CHURCH, 44 Broadway Avenue on Monday, September 24th at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. David will be lovingly remembered for his enjoyment of long walks (rain or shine), his passion for health and fitness, his gourmet cooking, and his very generous spirit. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army. David may you rest in peace
