Obituary of Marie Dalton
Passed away peacefully in her 86th year on Friday, December 17th at Woodstock, Ontario. Beloved daughter of Ethel Louise Grange and father James Grange. Beloved wife of the late Col. Hume Elliot Dalton (1994). Dear mother and mother in law of Mark and Jane Dalton, Beverley and Dan Bucholtz, and Brett and Zena Dalton. Survived by her sister Beverley Cox and predeceased by her step-sister Jana Mount. Beloved Grandmother of Danielle, James, Evan, Rebecca, Alan, Alex, Aaron and Great Grandmother of Siobhan and Sinead. Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Marie came to Canada in 1948. Marie worked as a model for the Hudson Bay Company. She then worked in Journalism and had many articles published in Gossip magazine, The Toronto Telegram and was eventually the owner and publisher of the Niagara Advance Newspaper. Marie was also a member of the IODE for many years. She loved to paint and spent many years at the Badminton & Racquet club playing tennis and bridge. A service will be held in ST.
