To the family of dear Ais, How sad to know that Ais is no longer of this world. She was a very special person who was much loved by her colleagues at Bosley Real Estate. She has left many wonderful memories - some involving her 'wacky sense of humour'! I regret not knowing & therefore not attending her memorial service. Bernice Parris (former manager of Bosley/North)

Dear Janis and family, I was sorry to read of your Mum's death. She was always welcoming and fun during my many visits up the street. The many wonderful memories you have will help at this difficult time. My thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Paula Rostrup(Sears)

Dearest Lynn, John, Lorna, Debbie and Jan, How saddened I was to hear of your mom's passing. I have so many fond memories of Mrs Gillian (yes, even 30 years later I still can't call her Ais!). Most of all I will be forever grateful for her giving mom and I a "home" during one of the most difficult periods of our life. How lucky we are to have landed at 46 Oriole Gardens! Not only did we find a beautiful place to live but we were also welcomed into the Gillan family with open arms. I know that mom will miss her dear friend Ais tremendously. I am so glad that she was able to join our family in celebrating mom's 85th birthday last October. My heart goes out to each of you. It is never easy to lose a parent, no matter what age or stage of life we are in. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Much love to you all, Martha

We are sorry about your loss. Mrs. Gillan was a WW2 war widow, and A.F. Fletcher has a file on our national Virtual War Memorial run by Vets Affairs, online only. Perhaps the family has pix or clippings to add to keep his name fresh for posterity? George Albert Fletcher RILEY died age 26, with the Royal Canadian Atillery in Italy 1944, Sept. 5.
