Obituary of Maylen Robert Warner
WARNER, Maylen Robert (Bob)
(1926-2010)
Founder and CEO of Paystation Inc.
(formerly Paymaster Cheque-Writers Canada) and Past Royal Director of the Royal Order of Jesters
It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Bob Warner on February 18, 2010. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife and companion Pauline. He cherished his role as a father to Kathy, Michelle (Mike), Monee (Doug), Kelly (Neil) and Jamie (Steve). He delighted in being active in the lives of his grandchildren Tara (Michael), Kyle (Lori), Samantha (Tom), Trevor, Hayley and Scott. His great-grandchildren Abigayle, Ashleigh, Addison and Desmond brought him immeasurable joy. He will also be missed by his sister Edith, brother in law George, niece Annie, nephew Robert and great nephew Willie. He will be sadly missed by the Paystation family he built across the country, but his passion and drive to protect Canadian businesses against white collar crime and fraud will continue. His legacy of philanthropy will live on through the CPA-Robert Warner Memorial Fund, a partnership with the Canadian Police Association. His kindness, generosity and his love of life will be remembered by his friends and business associates from around the world. Bob was a long-time resident of Richmond Hill where he was actively involved in the community, serving as the chair of the town's centennial celebrations and as a board member of York Central Hospital. A funeral service will be held in ST. CUTHBERTS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1399 Bayview Avenue, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 25. Royal Order Jester service will commence just prior to funeral. If desired, donations in Bob's memory to the CPA-Robert Warner Memorial Fund would be appreciated (www.cpa-robertwarnermemorialfund.ca).
