Hi Hilary, I have a wonderful memory of your Dad and his support of the Havergal Fencing Team! Remember when he treated us all to dinner at the B & R after a match, I think against St. Andrews College. I recall having asparagus at dinner and going to the ladies' room with Sue Manchee where I learned for the first time that asparagus alters the scent of urine! So that was why it smelled that way! Ever since, when I eat asparagus, which is often, I think of you, Sue, and your Dad. Are you still in Oakville? I am at 55 Howard Avenue, and would love to see you. Barb Stodgell is here as well. Fencing rocks! Lyn

Dear Claire, We herewith send our sincere condolences to you and your family. We will remember Bob as a good and generous friend and neighbour. We always enjoyed our visits, bridge games and Bob's wonderful meals at Avoca and at your cottage, as well as his organ music, which was always pleasant and never intrusive. We are sorry that we will not be able to come to the service tomorrow, but you will be in our thoughts. Love, Naomi and Maarten

Dear Claire I am deeply saddened, to hear of Bob's passing. He and Jack had so many wonderful times together. We both loved and admired him. He certainly lived a full and colourful life, and will be very much missed by family and friends He and his prize" nonsuch" will always be a picture in my mind. My thoughts are with you. Betty Jean

Dear Claire, I was saddened to read of Bob's death in the Globe and Mail yesterday. My memories of the months I lived with you and your family are very fond. You and Bob made me feel so welcome and having a "little sister and brother" was a very special treat. Please pass my condolences on to Hilary and John. I'm sure they will miss Bob as much as you will. With love, Gabrielle
