Dear Jane and Family, I was sorry to read of your Dad's death last week. Losing a parent is a very painful sadness. I haven't seen you for so long I didn't feel it was appropriate to come to the visitation or service. However, I wanted you to know I was thinking of you at this difficult time. I only knew your Dad as a guy who made me feel SO welcome when I came for the odd sleepover. I hope you and everyone in your family are OK. Affectionately, Nancy PS. We should try to touch base sometime. Are you in Calgary?

To Mrs Dorothy Evenson and family I am very sorry to hear about your great loss. I have met Mr and Mrs Evenson lately with great pleasure. Although I have not known Mr Evenson personally very well, I know my father in law Marc Beland and his father, Alexandre, have had such a long and significant business and personal relationship. Mr Evenson is part of Empire Shirt long history and of what it has become today. My wife Hélène, myself and all of Empire Shirt employees(past and present) wish to express deep and heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. René St-Amant Chemise Empire, Louiseville, Québec

On my behalf and on behalf of the Beland family, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Evenson family on the passing away of Mr Evenson. My grandfather Alex and my father Marc knew Mr Evenson professionaly and personaly over his many years representing The Empire Shirt Mfg Co. in Ontario. They always spoke of him warmly. Myself got to know him during my stays in Toronto in the mid 80's. He was very kind in taking me to lunch to his club on many occasions. He was a true gentleman.
