Obituary of Clare Piller
We are saying goodbye to Clare Mazzoleni Piller after her valiant battle with cancer.
As wife, daughter, mother, sister and grandmother she was the most giving, caring and generous person in our lives. Her wicked sense of humour, clear, analytical thinking and wise council enriched us all. She cared deeply about her family. She worked ceaselessly for the betterment of the arts through the Canadian Conference for the Arts, The National Ballet School and a variety of other organizations. Lately, she became a valued and respected contributor to the Canadian film industry. She sat on the boards of the Canadian Music Centre, the Royal Conservatory of Music, the MacMillan Foundation and served as President of the C. H. Ivey Foundation. We are grateful that Clare has been part of our lives. Her husband Heinar, children Erika, Christiaan and Erinn, mother Joanne, sisters Andrea and Gina and grandchildren Lara and Nathan love her forever and will miss her very much. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Clare's life at the MAZZOLENI CONCERT HALL, ROYAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, 273 Bloor Street West on Tuesday, October 27th at 2:00 p.m. If desired and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Ettore Mazzoleni Memorial Scholarship at the RCM, would be greatly appreciated. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
