I first met Mrs Crawford about 1974 and continued to see her at the Wellesley Hospital and then at St Michaels Hospital every few months all these years. We shared stories of you children, of the arrival of the grandchildren one by one and their growing years. I heard all the tales of the cottage and the canoing and camping with her beloved husband and of their travels together. Some of our trips were inspired by theirs. In turn she listened to my tales of children growing up. Every Christmas she arrived with a treat from her kitchen. She was always so cheerful even when not well and never let her relapses stop her activities. At our last visit just a few weeks ago she was determined to have the heart surgery and recover and was very pleased with her new home. All the staff were very fond of her and we are grateful for letting us know of her passing. She was so very proud of all of you, children and grandchildren, and so very grateful for all your help since her husband's passing and with her recent move. All the staff of the neurology lab join me in sending you our deepest sympathy-we will miss her greatly. It was a privilege to know her. Sincerely Jean Turley
