Obituary of Doreen Morin
DOREEN ADELE MORIN (nee Evans)
Born July 30, 1929, died August 19, 2009 in Toronto. Doreen was the youngest daughter of the late Walter and Ella Evans. She grew up in the Beaches in Toronto with her siblings Norma, Ed and Jean.Doreen is dearly loved and will be profoundly missed by her children Suzanne (James), Louise, Brian and Cynthia (Manoj); and by her cherished grandchildren, Megan, Sarah and Daniel Raby, Alison and Julianne Morin, Emma and Jesse Ravindran. Predeceased by her eldest daughter Denise, (Alan).Doreen shared over 54 years of her life with her beloved husband Desmond (1922-2003). Together with their children they led a life filled with love and laughter. She took pleasure in many things including her home, family and friends in Toronto, in Sarasota, Florida and at the family cottage on Gull Lake. She loved nature and travel. Doreen enjoyed creating and surrounding herself with beauty. Most of all, she enjoyed her immediate and extended family, whom she nurtured with her exceptional kindness, warmth, wisdom and humor.The family would like to thank Esther Masih-Khan at Princess Margaret Hospital for her love and support of Doreen.A memorial service will be held in the TORONTO NECROPOLIS CHAPEL, 200 Winchester Street, Toronto on Friday August 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.. A reception will follow. The family prefers donations in lieu of flowers, to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
