Jim Whelan was the first rep that called on me during my media career. He not only shared his vast knowledge of radio he also opened up his home. On occasion I was pretty much homeless for Christmas (meaning I was not making it home to NL) and I spent it with him and amazing friends (Anne and Richard). This is someone who will obviously be deeply missed! I regret not being able to be there today to give great respect! Jim you will be deeply missed! Xo Regina

Although Mary and I have lived on the west coast for most of the past 25 years, in the early days of our advertising careers, Jim was a big part of both of our lives. We remember him fondly and send our condolences to all the members of his family.

We are so sorry to hear of Jim's passing, even though we have not met Jim in person we did speak to him alot over the years in regard to radio advertising, he was just so easy and relaxed to speak with we both felt we knew him really well. Our hearts are with you at this time.

JIm was my rep when I worked at Media Buying services in 1984. I moved west and upon my return in 1987 Jim got me my job at All Canada . He was my mentor and a great friend, I have lived in Florida for 9 years now and had lost touch. My prayers are with all his friends and family at this time of great loss, of such a super guy.
