Jean Trott

Obituary of Jean Trott

TROTT, Jean Arthur (nee Millson) 1916 - 2009Peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, January 15, 2009. Beloved wife of Vernon Trott (predeceased 1985). She is sadly missed by her daughters, Joanne (Bruce) Moyle and Betty Trott, grandchildren, Luke, Christi, Dan (Heidi), great-grandchildren, Molly and Holly, sister-in-law, Louise Trott and her very possessive cat, Jaycee. Mum is an impossible act to follow: farm girl, high school graduate (age 16), dancer, elocutionist, singer, pianist, artist; Teacher's College grad, teacher extraordinaire, producer, director, costume maker for multicultural seasonal elementary school shows in Forest Hill Village '40's-'60's; counselor, canoeist, university graduate (BA, MEd.), math and reading curriculum consultant (elementary school), educational TV consultant, academic editor of family PhD theses; our home furniture mover and interior designer, horticulturalist, chocolate angel food cake baker, home repair handy woman. The above talents took little time in a life that was committed to being a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt (everybody's), grandmother, great-grandmother, great-aunt, a giver of endless energy, love, and care to family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, strangers. A great and gracious lady! We will miss her. Bring your stories and join the family on Saturday, January 24 for a visitation between 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), 416-487-4523. A private family service has been held. Flowers gratefully declined. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
