Hello Terry, Brian & Annette, Sorry to hear of your Mum's passing. My mother, Nancy, always considered Jo to be her best friend. As neighbours when we lived on Bedford Park Ave, Jo and Nancy got to talking and found they had much in common. They both were Wrens and the British backgrounds were a solid foundation upon which the relationship was built. Nancy came to work for Jo at the White Swan and while my mother did not spend a great deal of her life in the workforce, she really enjoyed her time at the White Swan. She also, on occasion, worked for Terry in the jewellery shop. My mother always looked forward to tea time with Jo even though she was an avid coffee drinker. Her day was always brightened by a chat with Jo and I recollect they would chat daily. My mother always regretted losing touch with Jo and Terry, even though my Dad was the cause of their friendship ending. You guys, especially Annette as our babysitter, may recollect his crusty demeanour. My Mum died in May, 2004 while my Dad died in December, 2006. Please accept my belated condolences for your loss and I suspect that my Mum had a warm cuppa waiting for Jo. Deepest sympathies, David Reinboth

Dear Annette, I was in your class at Bedford Park School. I remember going to your parents' store to buy lovely china cups and saucers for my Mom for her birthdays. Your Mom was always so kind to me, helping me pick out just the right gift with my allowance money. My own Mom passed away some time ago and recently I had occasion to go through her things and I found that she had saved every one of those china cups I gave her. Your Mom was great .. my sympathies sincerely Jennifer

Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.she will remain in our hearts .. I enjoyed helping her out around the house when things needed fixing .. and her chats we had after the job was done, and enjoying a tea together.. My condolences again to you and the entire family,, I thought of her often after she left Orillia..
